Amid all the current hiccups with things keypad, outside temp yesterday morning was 33degC, and the car's AC decided not to cope: cool, but not cold.
Did a check on when last recharged: 7 years ago!
Had the job done this morning. The system which should have 825gm of R134a was down to 395gm.

When my mechanic mate Adisak (Jimmy) and I collected the Xantia from Bangkok we knew the AC was not working but that it had a split pipe.
'No problem' said Jimmy, we'll just get out of Bangkok and stop at an AC shop. Turned out to be more than a pipe and a refill job!
We left BKK just after midday in 39C and travelled almost 700 Kilometres with time out for lunch, dinner and 2 fruitless visits to AC menders, arriving home at 10.15 pm when the temperature had mercifully dropped to 30.
You guys in Spain have it easy Chris!

Hi Rex

We have been out in 44C, inland near Seville. XM AC coped no problem.
Down here on the coast - we're 4km inland, and 450m up - there's generally a breeze in summer.
29C and 82% humidity today, so a bit clammy.

We used to live in Hong Kong, there we picked up a pretty accurate description of the local climate:-
Hong Kong has 4 distinct seasons - 3 of them are unpleasant.
