I fear so Robert, the sound track is an essential part of the V6 experience. I still love the sound of the V6 when given a bit of welly in sport mode and the tacho creeps above 4000 rpm

It's lovely

Even the XM with it's very quiet exhaust still delivers a refined version of it. The Xantia is a lot more raucous!

Oh totally. The V6 HDI is a great engine. I would definitely have one stuffed into an XM!
