You surely cannot miss this one Neil and especially with such a nice early car!! The event must be very close to your XM build date and I hope to be there is my somewhat later 'G' plate V6 auto. It also occurs to me that the timing is probably as close as we could have got to 25 years since the UK launch and first public appearance, which appears to have been Motorfair at Earls Court on 19th-29th October. Ill definitely be there, i really cant say at this moment whether ill be in the xm or not due to all the messing around im having with the company car scenario, money being tight, and only having one income into the house.....it would be a crying shame not to be in it, but it depends on how money stacks up. cost of insurance etc.

Classic insurance cant be that bad vince on the diesel. Im only paying about 22 quid a month for the 24v Xm and they had the highest rating in the XM range.

I wouldn't bother with classic insurance as you never build NCD.

As I already have a policy with full ncd I dont need another. At 20 a month for me where a full blown would probably be 50 quid a month im happy with that!
