i can well imagine Robert!
Nice to see you all over the weekend, and thanks to John for bringing up the goodies for me 8-) and Jim for breaking out the lexia and making a rear ram bush for the activa too!
There were a lot of nice cars there including Pauls 24v sporting that half washed spoiler  which sounded lovely, even with a slight blow.
i take it everyone got back ok? i made good time to the ferry but then had to wait for an hour to get on a boat.

Got back fine, thanks, after going to the pub to eat, that is.. :D

What a shame Jim only made you a strut bush instead of taking you out in his Activa for half an hour...

Strut top changes can definitely be done in 15 minutes if pushed...

So where are ALL the pictures for those that couldn't make it?

The s1 24v growl is quite menacing and truly addictive - the
acceleration is almost a side effect. 8-) ;)

Funny, mine has a faint blow too - the front poxy flexi cat...

reading between the lines I'm surprised there wasn't an outbreak of salmonella. :?

Nigel:

it was good to catch up at the weekend - definitely going next year....

I had a thought: Have you applied Autosol creme paste (it's sold as metal polish, I know) as it's a well thought of cure for 'fogged' plastic lenses....

A good tip is to wear disposable rubber gloves and apply it with your finger (easier to control and you get little waste). Rub it in evenly and give it some welly, rub off and buff up with a micro fibre cloth. Try it out, it's gotta be worth it?

Oh and photograph a before and after - because if it does work well, it's a good tip to pass on on the forum!

Sorry Andrew i forgot my camera...........
i will second the above tip, a bit of metal polish will sort out scratched plastics too, i do the rear light units and tinted boot panel with it and it works a treat ;)

For fogged and crazed sidelights and side chrome trims try some fine wet 'n dry first. About 1200-2000 grade is good.
