CCC National Rally - 17/18 July 2010

So, if one wants to go on Saturday and Sunday how much is the cost, and what if you are making two separate visits out of it and going home in between?
Is the Saturday just an arrival day or are all the functions (such as autojumble) happening then or just on Sunday?

please fill me in..well, not literally..

The same as day entry on the Sunday - the wristband provides museum access over the whole weekend.

As above. Camping fee plus day fee.

Yes, the day fee includes a wristband which gives you access to the museum Sat & Sun.

In that case I might bring my old spheres along for a test.

If anyone wants me to bring my block test kit along for a H/g test, give me a shout. I might need to make a nominal charge maybe (a pint ) to cover the cost of fluid...

I got bogged down with talking to people and looking at the multitude of cars there so only managed to take a few pictures.

Before buying the XM I wondered about one of these as one was going though auction at sensible money, but Mrs DM thought it wasn't a good idea...so on Sunday she said 'that looks great, so different, what about having one'...








A very highly (slightly too much) restored DS.













My Father bought a nearly identical one of these when they were first new. It was the dealer demonstrator car so had tinted glass and a sunroof added. They went to look to buy another GS but the demo car had just been registered and was there so they negotiated to buy that instead. I learnt to drive in that car. This one is a very early one indeed being on a V plate. Early GSA have the GS dash with a couple more warning lights, which I much prefer to the later pod and flat panel dashboard.

There was loads to see including a very nice blue CX in absolutely stunning, unrestored condition and it's bizarre how refreshing the BX's looked now you don't see them every day.

I had a great weekend at the National Rally. It was good to meet up with folk again, and meet new people. The mint Blue CX is Doug Watson's. You should see his G reg 2.0 SEi. He had it at the CXM rally last year. Truely superb condition.

What a difference compared to Wetherby!! Wish Id gone to this one instead!

Nice Visa GTi, and I had a Brown Visa 17D same as the brown one there too...

Im sure the early Green DS Slough car is in the "Original" Citroen DS Book, the Restorers Guide..
