It's also worth checking that all the clamps are in place as if not that will cause premature fracturing, just like diesel injector pipes.

Yea, Will, I had thought of that, however, after the gearbox swap, Im certain I did place all clamps back, its not a Flat Acc sphere, that was fine and the tick rate is acceptable...

It still could be just the seal, not had time to check, and possibly wont till Friday afternoon...

Is that just the O rings?? Have you left the Original filter head on??

Im certain it will be the Filter HEAD not the filter or O rings, as I sugested to you... well, at least you have ruled the filter and sealing O rings out..

Hi Dieselman

As a temporary check it is worth bypassing the filter with a squeeze bulb as used on later PSA cars.
Make sure to get the non-return valve the right way round.
That plus the clear feed tubes sorts out if the leak was the filter, the pipe work onwards to the pump or in the feed pipe.

All,
I changed the filter to get new seals and O rings fitted, the seal at the top of the filter was deformed and the O ring on the long bolt was hard and flat.
Having already added clear piping both to and from the filter I can see only a very few and occasional bubbles in the feed pipe, but more in the flow from the filter.

New filter unit will be next on the agenda.
