OK, I hear what you're saying!

I should really take the s1 24v out for such a run - it's having a rest and needs a really nasty festering
mess on the sill around a front jacking point sorting - a very unwelcome discovery a week ago, as
you can imagine. :( Still it's all legal for another 6 months or so which suggests the mess wasn't
apparent at the last MOT? :?

It would be a good motivation for me to reconstitute the correct wheels on it and give it some visual
TLC - there's scratches on the rear bumper where a dopey 4x4 ran into the back of the car!! May be
a big task sorting out the keying marks on the rear 1/4's and the dent on the driver's wing mind...

The 24v doesn't have a towbar fitted Dean!!

Well you will probably have the only S1 24V there, so you have to take it.

The damn thing runs hot suggesting dodgy fan relays although nothing shakes down from having a looksee.
The thought even sprang to mind that the temperature sensor pick up above the water pump isn't working.
The fans do work on slow where the aircon is switched on. God I hate auto electrics; wouldn't do any
harm having it in a field of xm-hardened fanatics could it!?

Plus September could be cooler to drive a hot car. Honest, I don't drive it really hard (well, not all of the
time - it did tell me once to slow down on the dot matrix as all the temperatures got ramped up... )
Never had a car physically tell me to slow down before!!

I took the 2.5 to the National last year. Parked next to Norman and met Derek and Brian. It was a lovely day, absolutely scorching! Bought some bits for the Bx whilst there. Do you think they'll let a Multi in? The Bx isn't on the road yet.

I'll be at the CCC event on Sunday in the CX this time and I'll be at the CXM rally in September in ironically, the Mk1 BX (probably)

Hey I was there in mine - first CCC event I've been too. I counted 17 XMs at the peak (might have been more I guess with comings and goings) and a further two 'loose' ones elsewhere. Does anyone who went know which XM won the Peoples Concourse choice? I know a W-reg number was announced as the winner but I only saw one W-reg one there (mine) and it wasn't my number! Did anyone else spot it?

I went, not in XM though, I couldn't stay till the end but there was some really lovely cars there today, I thought this was one of the best. This 2.0i Auto estate was absolutely immaculate! Anyone on here?

That's the one I parked next to - was in very nice condition. Didn't catch the owner's name though :?
