Jim, if you ask him nicely Tim Leech will give your car a going over. He's the BX equivalent of Mr Sheene. :)

Thats the one Franklin 8-) It was a great stand that year, though I dont think that was the last time the CCC won the award for best stand.

I'm really looking forward to this, I'll book my tickets tonight :D

I've been too busy to think of this as yet and car cleaning is a pretty major challenge at present, but I'll consider this this w/e.

Has anyone got a good condition rear bumper chrome trim as these let my mandarin car down at present.

I do like having the classic car show at that time of year, as very little happens over winter in the car scene and its inside. However, getting classic cars there if the weather is torrential and there is salt on the roads, its a logistical nightmare. We would like our Traction to be on the stand one year but it would need to be taken on a covered transporter. Yes we could drive it there and clean it when there but with what hosepipe? Its also black and so would show any swirl which was put into the paintwork during cleaning.

When we had the van there the weather was awful and it arrived filthy. So I had to wash it in the hall with quite a few buckets of water.

So what Im saying is, worry about the cleaning when you get there Will  :D Or take someone to do it ... I guess your body is still not agreeing with being ran over ...

I'll just add some spotlights and M&S tyres and call it XM Rally version.

We ( the BXclub ) had a fantastic inaugural NEC show. Plenty of positive comments, mainly along the lines of " I had a BX years ago " and " BX, best car I ever had ". We've already submitted our application for next years show. Would be nice to see a XM at the NEC next year, hopefully on the CCC stand.

It was good to see the BXC out in force at the NEC. Must have just missed you but I did have a good natter with Tim though...

I went up on Sunday with Chris570 and we travelled up in his XM S2 V6 - very nice, like riding in a limo :D

We were both incredibly disappointed there was no XM on the CCC stand and we were tempted to grab Chris's from the car park and drag it in :)

Still, Citroenmad's Activa on the CCC stand went a long way toward addressing the defecit.

Hopefully next year an XM will be there...
