Technical Weekend

Post by mds141 » Fri Oct 12, 2012 3:27 pm

On the BXC we organised a technical weekend in Ludlow last month. The idea being that experienced DIY'ers could show the less experienced how to repair/fettle their BX's. Would it be possible to organise something for us XM lot and possibly make it a combined XM and BX or GS or any other Citroen for that matter. Make a good long weekend of it. I was thinking of sometime just after the X rally. Any thoughts suggestions welcomed. :)

What a good idea, but how about later this/early next year, to break up the rather long period between now and the first rally of 2013? Regards, Matthew T.

I wasn't able to attend the BX technical weekend, as I was working. I think a joint collaboration between the various Citroen models would make for a great weekend. I'll post a thread up on the BX club forum as well. A couple of jobs I want some help with on the XM. NSF electric window works intermittently and would like the Lexia plugged in to see if there are any fault codes showing. Runs perfectly though. I was considering a venue in the midlands, as this allows most people to get there without too much of a journey.

As Matthew says, a brilliant idea and I'm well up for this :D

I still have an awful lot to learn about XMs

Lexia and ELIT diagnostics not a problem for me at all and always happy to carry out both at the proposed weekend and at any other time by appointment.

Every diagnostic includes a free cuppa...

Cheers Jim. I'd love to pop down to yours some time. I'd have to plan it around another visit to the south though, being up in Lancaster it's a long trek down.

Good idea Mark, and sounds like others like it too... :D

Sounds like you've got a wide range of Citroens that you want to cater for - as an idea perhaps it's worth putting feelers out too in and around the CCC as this should bring more numbers? :?:

Obviously location is the key here and you're not going to please everyone, however would you be thinking of Ludlow again? What sort of location / meeting area is there?

Brilliant idea. I really need to learn more. I wonder if anyone would like to investigate my suspension issue. It has been by-passed at some point and locked into soft mode. So something is up...could be a good case study?!

Yours will be a great case study Russ and we could investigate your intermittent ABS at the same time ;)
