I know this is a rather late contribution, partly because I was working way immediately after, but I really enjoyed the event that got the season off to a nice start - very many thanks Franklin and Patrick!! It was great to meet up with old acquaintances and to make some new ones as well and I appreciated the interest shown in my latest acquisition! I am sorry I did not get to talk further with the many regular attendees and missed Brian altogether that was a shame, especially as we were the only PRVs present! One of the other highlights for me was driving Jim's S2 V624v, which seemed really smooth and quiet and made for a very interesting comparison with my beast! Here are a couple of photos including Jim's car and a shot on the way home. With regards, Matthew T.

Glad I didn't drive one of those, I am already happy with the 2 slowest models :)

I know Jaap. Very dangerous place to be sitting in the drivers seat of one of these. I will admit, XM's should have a V6.

Matthew, it really was great to see you and to have a drive of your very special XM too :D That was a real highlight for me!

I do agree with that statement Russ :D

The petrol V6 is a very lovely engine Jaap - very refined and civilised. We should have had a better look at Robert's 407 V6 diesel to see how that compares with a petrol V6 in terms of refinement and quietness. Next time!
