Nice one Russ!!! Accidentally, I found out that 2.1 TD Xm's can actually, when pushed, accelerate from 0 to 100 reasonably fast when really needed (like I needed to outrun one irritating tail gaiter:) Unfortunately he catched up with me due to some other very very very slow tourist but...... I did need, a V6 at that minute or at least my petrol XM....better still my CX turbo but still: even moderate rental VAG products are pretty quick nowadays...
But the point is: I never floored my 2.1 for that long that fast on that windy road and I was happy to be able to loose that irritating..........(driver:) )
Happy days, and sure Robert would have out raced me in his more modern PSA product! :) :)

They do lift their skirts when pushed. I think you need to drive them quite hard to get a good kick down and speed out of them.
On the way to Wicksteed joining a duel carrageway outside Coventry, I had to boot it as a lorry would not give way to let me on.
Quite exciting!!!!

It's definitely time for you to experience a V6 Jaap. Perhaps an S2 with a sport switch  8-) :P

A case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde...

A V6 doesn't so much lift her skirts but abandons them completely...

Maybe swap one, but not the Diesel...! Need the economy! :) A v6 would not come into it's own right on my commute thankfully. 167 HP would be the same as a CX GTI I think..

Or maybe not, will get that irritating ABS light in my face again...http://www.lijzengacitroens.nl/occasions/citroen-xm-2/ (check out those 2 SM's here!)

I'll stick with the Diesel!

Yes if you give my 2.1 TD Auto enough beans it will get a good move on. I've heard them called sluggomatics on this board, but I wouldn't say so.

That gold Xantia VSX is stunning. I love it.

Excellent pics. Very good. There was a good cross section of cars on the Sunday.
