Funnily enough, Rohan, I booked the weather the other day for the 6/7/8th September...

Booked it via Alan of the CCC East Midlands Group, as he's got friends in very high places...

It was a scorcher last year...

What were the facilities like for people camping? I might give it a go, but only if the facilities are 5 star...

I think CX Prestige seats class as 5*...

Pickled eggs? There's always a readily available supply of them...!

In all seriousness though the club house recently underwent a refurbishment in regards to the showers and toilets etc. Much better than before and more modern etc.

I quite like the idea of being close to the action...or at least the pub and beer, with no walking involved.

I must admit Will that the camping element is one that really does make the CXM. Robert will agree I am sure, but the 2009 rally was excellent as Fil brought his Caravan and awning along. Loads of people crammed into the awning with a few* beverages of their choice and snacks galore. Robert, remember when you were impresonating a certain someone... I defy you to find a better example.

2010 was good too, with the CX Prestige seats underneath the Talbot camper we brought along with the Fiamma awning too. I think 2010 was also the first year of the pickled eggs too with Robert and Colin bringing some jars down.

2011 was also good however unfortunately there was no awnings of any type and most of us congregated by the club house on the benches.

2012 was good, too, however quite a few regulars were missing so the atmosphere wasn't as lively as usual...!

2013 bodes to be very good indeed, with most of the regulars planning on being in attendance, and it looks like there will be another camper with awning too.

I might even be able to bring some CX seats along with me too...!

Get a tent organised Will! The facilities in the hall are very good now. And the evening entertainment is the highlight of the weekend for me!
