I will be there in the Activa, complete with scabby roof. Looking forward to the first rally of the season.

I've given it a wash but the birds have already seen to it

Won't be there too early as I have a Karate lesson first...

Cheers Jim. No faults that I'm aware of, but it's reassuring to have the Lexia give the ( digital equivalent ) thumbs up. Great to see you back in the virtual fold. :-)

Shame it's on the 26th Mark. I'm already booked for a day of fighting an ES9 V6 engine into an RX-8 for the nth time. All our previous attempts have come to naught due to fouling problems.

This is our last attempt to see if it really is feasible before potentially canning the project...

Is the rotary engine FUBAR'd? Shame they have problems, such a sweet unit.

Just a bit Mark. It was so much so that it took out the gearbox with it.

I had great fun stripping it with the full intention of rebuilding it. It suffered from a catastrophic failure of the rear eccentric bearing and that in turn took out everything, even the side housings.. It was scrap.

It would have cost £5K in bits to fix and second hand engines are either in the same state, either dead, or just about to die.

The problem with a transplant is the original engine is tiny. About the size of a beer keg.

Blimey that's expensive. I visited these people once a few years ago https://www.mazdatrix.com/ they had loads of RX7 and RX8 stuff and loads of power out of Mazda rotaries. Much bigger scene in the US than here, people converting pickups. Might be worth seeing how cheap it is to import bits from there, it's small and lightweight.
