First time I'd been to any kind of rally-really enjoyed it! Good to meet lots of friendly helpful people-lots of knowlege and a willingness to share it too!
Forgive me if I miss any names but good to meet Jim, Steve, Matthew,Bantam (Paul?), Ian, Sid the Squid!,the 2CV occupants, Will and Sue,Robert-although it was only a passing meeting!
Special thanks to Keith for trusting me with his gorgeous C6 (I need one-no not want- NEED!) also to Phil (and Danny) for giving us a ride (my 1st) in the CX-magnifique!
Thanks to -though I didn't get your name-the kind chap who offered to take us out in the DS-although we kept on missing each other-I hope you enjoyed your dinner finally!
When initially I drove in to the field I thought it seemed a bit quiet but far from it-the lack of numbers was more than compensated for by the warmth and friendliness-I'll definately attend again!
Dammit!! the more i hear the more i wish i could have gone, i am going to be making space for this next year, i would love to scrounge a ride in a CX and DS, there is no way i would want a ride in a C6 though for this reason...

Dean, you just wait for a Cx GTi Turbo to turn your head.
More dangerous for the bank balance as they don't all cost £13k... 8-)

We went out on the 40 mile convoy in a CX Prestege GTi Turbo 2 - an amazing motor..

Yes andrew you read right, Series 2 GTi Turbo 2 Prestiege... A south of france LHD drive car converted to RHD, and a completely strip rebuild... mind you, the chassis was immaculate anyway..

I beleve the car won a Silver award, its pictured above, the Grey LWB one next to a caravan..

What a machine! And owner too..

Hi Folks,

I really enjoyed meeting and chatting to everyone that I met at the weekend. Too many people to list, and my memory is awful.

Keith was a real gent for letting everyone take his C6 out for a drive, I can't wait until they come down in price further.

It certainly was a brilliant weekend and so nice (and also reassuring) to meet many like minded enthusiasts. The particular highlights for me were riding in the CX Prestige and C6 mentioned by Paul and others and the showroom condition 1990 2.0SEI and 2000 Exclusive - both quite extraordinary and inspiring!! Just one lowlight, which was poor sleep due to my lack of decent camping equipment! I look forward to the next rally and may see other members at the Ace Cafe event perhaps? Best regards to all, Matthew T.

As long as your poor sleep wasn't solely due to your rowdy neighbours!!

Doug Watson's XM was truely superb, a real credit to him.

You should've slept in the XM, we once did while waiting for the ferry and it was very comfortable indeed. ;)

Ah, but a vital part of the story is missing here; which noble machine failed to start...
