I'm hoping to be up in my XM. Will have to take it steady on the drive up mind as it's still in its running in period from the rebuild last year!
Sorted the oil leak, just need to bleed the brakes.

Diesels don't need running in, in fact it can cause bore glazing.

Drive it like you stole it and it will love you for it.

Not a problem at all Jim, take as long as you need.

Thanks for the tip Will.

The XM is now running perfectly. Hopefully i'll have time to give it a wash!

That was a good weekend - nice, laid back atmosphere, and well organised. Saturday was a bit quiet, but I think the weather forecast put people off. In the end it was dry from when I turned up at 11:00 Saturday, to just after I left yesterday afternoon (although the storm I drove through 20 minutes later was interesting!)

I met up with several Forum members and put names to faces (even if I forgot most of those connections afterwards, but I'm like that!), and thanks to all those who gave advice and information, and offered parts - I learned a lot, both about XM's in general and mine in particular. After looking round all those shiny cars, I still have a fair way to go with mine!

I agree Mike, it was a good rally :D

I probably confused you by turning up in two different cars on the two days...

Seconded. I enjoyed the rally too - quite a nice location and I understand they will have showers next year.

I also got my first drive in a C6!

The weather was pretty good and considering I drove through some of the heaviest rain in from Penrith to Leeds, at Peterborough it was hot.

The Lancaster flying over made my day!
