Interesting, though I wonder that if I go I might be tempted to buy one.

Well the dates have been confirmed as 15th and 16th August, and the venue has been confirmed as RAF Cosford, the same as the XM 25th Anniversary gathering. Everyone seemed to have a great time at the XM event, there was a big hard standing for the cars to be parked on, as well as other things for people with families to go and do rather then just look at Citroen's. So it appears it's a fairly safe bet should the weather not live up to hopes as the coffee shop served a great cup of Costa Coffee!

I've spoken to Hungerhill Farm this morning about camping and they've confirmed that there is plenty availability (at the moment) to return their for camping as well. The owner, Ted, has asked that we give him an idea of numbers as soon as possible so he can make space for all the Citroen owners to be together. Steve (Trainman from FCF and CCC) and I have already made reservations this afternoon when discussing numbers earlier. Steve and I will be arriving on Friday 14th August at the campsite so anyone else camping can feel free to do similar!

What will it cost?

There's no entrance fees to RAF Cosford, all you do is pay for parking when you get there...

£2.50 gets you 4 hours parking
£3.50 gets you 8 hours parking (the full day basically, doesn't matter if you go over in the evening)

Camping costs...

I *think* Ted said the costs are...

£8 per night for a tent with 1 person in it
£18 per night for a caravan with 2 people in it

Electrical hook ups are extra if required.

There is a farm shop on site selling fresh produce (eggs, meat, etc.) for a lovely freshly BBQ'd breakfast if you feel that way inclined.

Come on folks! Let's make it a good one. :)

David.

P.s. Proper flyer to follow when it's been produced.

Ok, with this event rapidly approaching, we're trying to organise something for the Saturday evening, after the first day of the gathering.

We're looking at getting in touch with a couple of pubs in the Albrighton area to see if we can get a deal to allow everyone to have a bite to eat and be sociable rather then everyone heading their own way for dinner.

How would everyone who is planning to attend for the weekend feel about us organising a "Pie and a Pint" or a "Beer and a Burger" deal with a local pub to allow us all to have a sit down, and a good chin wag about all things Citroen, and who knows what else!

If you are interested, please comment below stating if you are happy with the proposed deal and I'll see what we can organise. If you have any special requirements you'd like me to enquire about, please also let me know.

I look forward to seeing everyone in a fortnight and admiring lots of C6's :)

David.

To add to this.... C6 Mug available to order from me. Estimating around £7-£8 plus postage.
This is the sample, its a tiny bit dark so i have tweaked it. Let me know if you want to place an order. I shall be taking orders at the rally.
Also there will be a special anniversary self cling windscreen sticker. £3.50 each.

Righto,

If you're coming to the gathering this weekend, please read below:

A table has been booked for 20 people on Saturday evening for between 19:30 and 20:00. I struggled to find a local pub that was interested in catering for a group of 20 and didn’t want food pre-ordering before arrival.

Anyway, the venue… The table is booked at:

The Thomas Botfield
Central Square
Telford Shopping Centre
Telford
Shropshire
TF3 4BW

http://www.jdwetherspoon.co.uk/home/pub ... s-botfield" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

It’s a JD Wetherspoon pub, which has a wide variety of food available to suit all tastes and all budgets.

Apparently just up the road is a big Debenhams and directly across from the Debenhams is a big car park that used to be an Asda.

I will print some copies of the address to take with me so if you want to join us, please pick one up on Saturday.

David.

Is anyone likely to be floating around with a Lexia device? I'd like to find out what's occasionally bugging my XM's ABS system. Mind you, still not 100% about attending as I was only at Cosford last month. A good showing of XMs could change my mind...

I never go to a meet without my Lexia.

Someone with a C6 has already asked me to code a key for them.
