Ace Cafe 90th Celebration

Post by MTXM » Mon Oct 19, 2009 10:18 pm

I am not sure if any other Club Members attended the recent event, but there were two XMs entered, my 1990 Gold V6 SEI and a really immaculate black 2.0SEI of the same vintage. The black XM had been restored with a complete respray and many £100's if not £1,000's spent on brand new trim, including complete replacement bumpers, despite nearly 200,000 miles on the clock I believe - understandably perhaps it won the best presented car 1990-2000. It was certainly a great occasion, although I was sorry not to see more XMs. Regards, Matthew T.

Gold XM looks superb Matthew,

That black car is excellent as well, the owner has the right idea, get new parts when he can. I have started to do this in preparation for an eventual restoration of my own XM.

Franklin,

Any pictures of that Dyane camper beside you? It looks intriguing.

Unfortunately I cant see any pics of it that i took and none that anyone else took - certainly was a strange contraption. But, if you see on my video about 2 to 4 seconds there is some footage ( if very brief ) of it. :)
