I think Wetherby is the closest of all rallies to me at least!!

However, being poor - to me anyway - in attendance, I dont think I will do Wetherby again.. For me, its just not got the right feeling...

I've noticed this too! Wish more were over this way a bit... i.e. the west!

I was sorry to hear that Paul and you may be reassured to hear that next year will be a slightly different format I think including other car clubs. I thought on the balance it was worthwhile since there were other interesting cars to see and folk to speak with. As an XM event it did disappoint I agree, but where were Will, Russ, Mark & Jaqui etc.? Regards, Matthew T.

As already stated, there was a really poor turnout of XMs at the event, despite superb weather on the Sunday and a reasonable number of other cars in attendance already confirmed and illustrated by Neil. I traveled from Norfolk via work visits at Saltburn in North Yorkshire, Driffield and York and covered around 850 miles in total, which was a good airing for the Poland car! The only issues I had were occasional reappearance of the ABS light and firm suspension setting, otherwise the car was a joy to drive and eagerly ate up the miles. I attach a few of my photos including en route through the Yorkshire Wolds. Regards, Matthew T.

There weren't many XMs there this year, Paul, but you and I chatted - two XM owners neither of whom had brought their cars.

Since it seems mine is now off to a new carer, I shall not be in it next year either, but I do expect to attend in the ZX, of which there were even fewer - just mine and one other if I recall correctly.

I do like the Northern Rally, and over the years I have got to know more people which is good.
