Parts giveaway event on Merseyside

Basically, over the past couple of years I’ve acquired a small collection of bits, some useful, some not so useful. But nevertheless all XM bits. The time has come for me to clear out my stock, before it’s too late. I don’t want my family having to clear it out afterwards as they won’t know what it is or how useful it is.
I don’t have the time or patience to list everything and stick it on eBay. If I were to gather everything together in 1 place and hold some sort of jumble sale for us XM forum members and combine it with a sort of open house coffee morning would I be likely to receive much interest from you? I’m not looking for a great amount of money for the bits, and I’d love to see them go back into the forum members cars. It would also mean a great deal to me to host my own get together where we could join as a team to help each other out. I may be able to provide overnight accommodation to those travelling furthest. Camping is also an option if you’re slightly braver.

Please have a think, any comments and suggestions are most welcome and I’ll be looking to do this in the upcoming weeks,

Kind Regards,

Ray.

I will certainly try and make the event Ray that does sound like a nice idea. Although I am quite far distant, hopefully I can combine attendance with a work visit in Yorkshire. Best regards, Matthew T.

This has moved on so much from this morning, some people form CCC are getting onboard too. I’m thinking, turn up Saturday anytime, chat discuss parts/cars etc. Saturday evening we can host our very own Halloween party, fancy dress if the mood takes your fancy. Sunday morning, free breakfast for visitors, Sunday afternoon coffee and chat pick your parts look over cars etc.

I’m extending this welcome to each and very one of you.

Now, that I like...

I'm not convinced of your necessity to sell up, but do understand your rational.

Look forward to seeing you at next years rallies, Ray. ;)

It sounds like an excellent plan and a grand way to get forum members together. I'll try to make an appearance whatever date you settle on, though H BKJ is unlikely to be back on the road and making the journey if it's THIS October you're talking about.

The date is confirmed for Saturday Sunday 28th 29th October 2017. It doesn’t matter what you arrive in, it’s your attendance that counts.

If anybody needs to book accommodation the postcode for the location is L20 9HN and I will help with any enquiries.

As for the parts, I’m looking for guidance, I’m thinking help yourself to what you want and there will be an honesty box. The money raised will pay towards the weekends food costs?

Please feel free to offer your advice.

Ray.
