That is bad news Rob and it will be a shame not to see you there. I would think the light issue is most likely a poor earth or a slam panel relay contact. What about coming in the Yeti?? With regards, Matthew T.

Sorry to let you down guys. I need to spend some quality time on the XM and get her sorted. I am sure it is an easy fix. I have been busy with other things like crating up my spare 2.0 engine to go to Scotland for Ally Getty’s dead XM. I am also trying to get the suspension rebuilt on my Sprite as she has now been off the road for two summers which is just silly.
The XM is fine for local trips but Lincolnshire will be pushing my luck.
I really don’t want to bring the Yeti. I spend 3 hours a day in it every week day so can skip another 6 hours at the weekend.
I will make it to another CCC Rally later in the year to catch up with everyone.
Rob

I cannot find the fault but am reluctant to venture too far from home at the moment. Six hours of travel would probably kill or cure but I think further diagnostic testing is required.
Have a great time guys.
Your car should have the rotary lights switch, in which case, it's probably that. Take it apart, clean the contacts and rollers, put it back together.

Hi all.
Just picked up GRX from the MOT station with a years ticket, looking forward to seeing you all on Sunday!
This being my first event, is there anything I should know before turning up?
Cheers
Andy

Hi all.
Great to meet some of you today at the X Rally, I had a great time and it was lovely to put some faces to names/forum handles!
Sorry if i didn't get chance to say bye as I left, I needed to be back for 5:30 and time ran away!
I was very surprised with the prize and it rounded off a lovely day rather well, i'll have to crack the polish and tyre shine out more often!
Hopefully see you at the Northern Rally :)
Andy

Your award was well deserved Andy. Your car looked great...nice shiny mandarin-nacre.

As usual, it was good to meet up with old friends and new ones. Arriving fashionably late meant I didn't get chance to get around to looking at everything there, but there were some very well presented cars.
Apologies Ray, I didn't get chance for a spin in your CX'd-XM, but it was good to see you.

Thanks, nice to meet You too. No drownings this time...but it was really close (kids). My wife ask if You and Matt are related in someway? She thought that you're brothers :)
XM project going slowly, but as soonest have some better news, I'll post it on forum.

It was great to catch up at the Rally on Sunday and thankfully the weather held dry, although the attendance did not seem quite as good as previous years. I wish there had been more time to chat with the regulars, including Will, Ray, Mark and Prem, and also to make other new acquaintances. Both Russ and Paul in particular were conspicuous by their absence, but hopefully will make the National in July! I was able to take two cars thanks to my long-suffering family, who also enjoyed visiting nearby Belton House (NT). Unfortunately I did not manage many photos, but here is a small selection. With regards, Matthew T.
