OK. I'll leave this here.. At first wow a lovley 1992 K reg S1. 5 car... With an I. D crises...
So what do we make of THAT...

A 2.5 in an S1. 5.. No chance.. Chassis legs were modified to take the wider engine.. Top engine mounts had an extra mount welded to the side of the drivers strut mount..

Something isn't right..

Seems strange that someone would have recorded a new engine capacity unless actually performing an engine swap.
Maybe it really does have the 2.5 engine in there.

They wont fit the standard chassis.. I think its a. Dvla mistake. It does come up as an sed..

It could be a Dvla error, but the 2.5 wasn't even available when this car was produced, so where would the designation come from?
One would think any owner would have such an error corrected as there may be insurance cost implications.

I've just noticed the date of first registration is November 2020, so it's an import and will be importer declared, so probably their mistake.
Is it auto, or manual?

Don't know about auto or manual.. But yea it's defo a clerical error along the way.. I beleve its an sed but that's all..

It is indeed a left hand drive, manual gearbox, 2088 cm³

Everywhere but Dvla tax appears to have the engine size correct. I suspect the V5 has it correct also.

The last owner has surfaced on fb.

It is a lhd and a 2.1. Dvla made a clerical error. It's a French import
