Oh the Series 2 cars aren't that bad Matthew, especially when they're the 3.0 V6 24v too...
Very interesting to have a Series 2 24V here and dad commented that he prefered it much more to the Series 1 24v. I was surprised at this I must admit, what with the Series 1 being the holy grail (some car I must admit!) however dad prefers the Series 2 much more - has driven them now both on the same piece of road and Series 2 it is!
Anyone else who's had experience of the Series 1 and Series 2 24Vers - David you've got both too haven't you? Views?

I saw that V6-24v up in the North West at the beginning of last week.
Needs a bit of stainless trim on the front passenger door and the drivers window replaced because it is heavily scratched.
It will tidy up very well and make a good show car.

The S1 24V is a blast in my opinion, mainly because of the manual gearbox and the second surge of power from around 5000rpm. Proper engine, clever inlet manifold, very good power delivery. The S2 version is a bit smoother, more refined, has been very reliable, but its compromised by having an auto gearbox IMO. Both of mine were cheap ebay cars that took some time to get on the road, but both turned out pretty good. I've just parted with the S1, some regrets but the withdrawal symptoms are not too bad so far!

Yep.
Was offered here first to all by Savoy as one of his trade in's.
I have found his trade in's are always good value.
Saw the V6 when I was picking up my latest 2.5 estate.
One phone call and a very good V6-24v could have been yours at a knock down price.
Quickly went on to a specialist supplier to Citroen enthusiasts.
Bit of a mark up for those finishing and tidying jobs that most of us can easily do.
It is worth remembering that there is another level in the Citroen enthusiast market.
Those people who just want a fully finished car with full support.
The prices they pay for that are well above the ones we expect.
As far as Mk2 V6-24v's are concerned if you are willing to go LHD then the PRV/manual combination was sold as a Mk2 in mainland Europe (1995-7).
You even get Bendix ABS on the later ones because it was the only XM not updated when Teves became standard.
The replacement ESJ car was also available as a LHD manual (1998-2000).
Not many of either but they do appear for sale from time to time.

Good, that means we can buy at realistic prices and once the cars are finished, will command a higher market value.
