Me being spotted

Having not driven it for months, today I took the magenta car out to one town en-route to another City.
As I waited at a pelican crossing a couple crossed and I was aware the Woman was looking at my car, which both She and the Man then continued to do as they walked away.
I really enjoyed wafting in the Magenta car, it is so soft and floaty compared to the Cobalt one.

Is there any reason Will as to why the magenta one rides better....or is it just because
It's always quite satisfying when you get someone taking a good look.

I can only think it's the spheres, but do need to change the LHM on the cobalt one as it's been flushed now.
I have recharged the spheres and drilled the dampers on the Cobalt one and fitted a larger centre sphere on the rear, but it's just not as supple as the mandarin one...yet.

So is that simply down to the quality of the spheres used do you think....or have you got comfort spheres on the mandarin car.
I have to admit I am intrigued by the comfort option.
Of course several owners seem to think ride comfort can be down to tyres too. Seems a complex recipie for ultimate ride comfort!

Can't recommend comfort spheres Russ, especially not in Ireland and especially not on the front. Our SX had them when we bought it but too soft. Normal spheres (on the 2.1 TD) are far better.

Absolutely avoid over-inflating the tyres too. Just a couple of psi over produces distinct knobbliness (what a good word) on my S2 2.5.

Good to know chaps. I do keep a regular eye on the tyre pressures. Must do them again infact!

Both cars have standard spheres on, the mandarin has new IFHS ones the Cobalt has regassed unknown brand.
So far I have fitted a larger rear hydractive sphere and drilled the front ones to 0.7mm, but the ride isn't there yet, whereas the mandarin one just floats along.

My spheres were regassed, and I just don't think they provide the same comfort as new ones. It's great you can do that, I'm just not convinced!
So does that mean the Mandarin ones are better quality and therefore offer better ride comfort.... It is interesting how to pretty much identically engineered cars can end up behaving quite differently.
I know for sure mine isn't the best of rides, but I think it's the tyres. It was given two unknown brands as part of sale and I think these might need to swapped for some michelins ect. It is certainly better with exact tyre pressures, one improvement I did notice.
All part of the fun improving them!

What would you say is correct pressure on the 2.5, my tyres are the 205 ones, the sticker inside the door says 33psi all round but they has always looked a bit too low, I think they're about 36 or something at the moment.
