I had indeed missed your addition Mike and I will try and establish the age of the other car. It is interesting that there is only 1,000km between the two and the asking prices are matched! In the UK we have seen many older XM appear for sale lately and I guess when you consider a third of the production and sales (100,000 approx.) were during the first two years that makes sense. The early cars are less likely to be around due to age and technical issues, but clearly many have survived. With regards, Matthew T.

This one might be a possibility... Difficult to tell from the advert whether there is something seriously wrong with the engine. I presume that he he really wants more than the headline asking price.

It looks like the front end has been pulled off due to trying to drag it onto a transporter in the settled state.

I believe the seller is making people aware of the issue the car has. It broke down and a recovery agent pulled the front off the car.

That is a fair comment Will and here is a translation of the text:

xm v6 s 24 July 1991 for connoisseurs 1st generation PRV all options, sunroof 227 000 km, hyper clean leather interior, mechanical bv 5,
New tires: snow 2 forward and 2 reverse road, all new 4 +1 nine ahead of snow
Car stopped from 12/30/2015 to 18 h on motorways and not fonctione
evacuated by carrier
problem: broken but repairable front view pictures
Mechanical: potociometre accèlarateur + pump + gas exhaust manifold cylinder head change (I knew)
car I bought in 3rd hand in September 2013.
in 2003-2013 it was 1500 km per year. I bought 189 000 km
I have not taken full advantage and has made 90% highway.
I've changed :
- Spheres
- Executive
- Year-end starter (standdard exchange)
- Water heater (standard exchange)
- Maintenance trassabilité done at Citroen Maserati Chambery and Geneva

take off on board by a professional and not by a "false carrier"
price / front of the vehicle

I think that the "gas exhaust manifold cylinder head change " is supposed to mean exhaust manifold, or manifold gasket
