I don't see a video, just a picture, but it's certainly not impossible to weld up the door, but A: why bother and B: without reclining front seats forwards, how can the rear seats be used?

If it's genuine, a whole chunk has been removed from the wheelbase. Either that or they have some how moved the b pillar and extended the front door in length.

To me the car definitely looks shorter overall.
