Yes chaps it was my car and I am really sorry that I missed you Ray! The least said about the accident the better as it involved shunting my sister-in-laws car pulling away from a roundabout but no one was hurt and the damage can be repaired! Regards, Matthew T.

We are now safely back home after covering some 1,200 miles between Norfolk, the Lake District and the Cotswolds! There were no further incidents thankfully, despite some rather scarily busy driving down the M6 and M5!! It was very good to see Russ briefly in Cheltenham for the loan of a headlight and further application of ducktape and I am now gathering the necessary replacement parts required. Fortunately I already have quite a tidy front bumper in gold, with a steel crash bar and corner plastic cushion, headlight, sidelight and nosecone. The replacement nosecone will need painting with other work to the offside front wing and inner bodywork, on which I hope to secure advice later this week. The one fibreglass slam panel that I have is slightly damaged but I have just sourced another one locally! With regards, Matthew T.

No fun when you bend a pride-and-joy, but it's a good temporary patch-up job.
Do like the idea of knocking on a fellow member's door, and asking if you can borrow a headlight  . Makes a change from a cup of sugar!
Hope the repair goes well.

Lucky I had a spare one. I gave it a quick clean and replaced a lense for him Chris!
Very happy to help. Glad you got back safely with no more incidents Matthew.

I am now very pleased to report that the car is fully repaired and just back on the road after passing an MoT. The work took a little longer than expected as my regular local body-shop sat on the car for a while and then need help with the inner wing that I arranged with another local garage. I also treated the car to a complete new exhaust, which it turned out was rather long overdue in the case of the rear box! Regards, Matthew T.
