Citroen fleet in London Bridge

Post by paulstringer » Wed May 30, 2018 7:01 am

Spotted whilst on a recent wander to the pub after work. BX, CX, SM and DS. Obviously still missing one for the compete set. Image

Must be something of a fan I wonder how they manage to get that many permits. All still look in good use although.

They are not always in a line like that.
There has been a mixture of old Cits in that road for as long as I can remember.
Usually seen over the years on my walk through from Waterloo to the pub for PWI meetings.

The BX has come of age. They used to look out of place and dated, now they look razor sharp.

The BX being on a level & low helps. They are often nose up, looking distressed - my one was!

I won't be attending and CCC events this year again so i can say this without fear of falling into a running engine or getting a 'bad' cup of Tea, in that shot the BX shape looks better than the others in my opinion.

I think the way car design has gone recently with lots of wanabe, tall, off-road bubble designs it makes the BX look good in comparison but that is just personal prefernce i suppose.

I never used to like BXs when new but do now. LG.

The BX shape just gets better as time goes by. Always was a sleek, angular and unusual shape, full of purposeful, fast straight lines.
We miss ours a lot, even though it was replaced with XM. One of the two best cars we ever had.

I think if I were to add to my collection it would be the BX. Could be fond memories of the family GTi back in the 90’s.
