Just spoke to the bloke
The french car has been scrapped to a mate who will still have it and will be in contact with me keys had been lost is the given reason

The blue is a v6 he still has that wants about £200 for it

I’m away at work all week so can’t pop over to see what condition they’re in but surly they’re worth stripping at the very least

...at £200, has to be worth it, if you have the space

The v6 24v defo needs a strip down. Certainly if the engine is a later modified engine. ..

I could have the space but only for a very short time a few weeks at most and would be far from ideal not to say it’s impossible or I don’t want to help in the rescue of cars or parts just I would have to ask a few favours
I’ve lost access to the big tilting trailer I borrowed last time too...

I wouldn’t have time to strip it myself either if it’s only good for that it would be in a place others could get to it though or that should be ok without asking

I spoke to the bloke with the 24v apparently the interior is good don’t know much else though

I certainly have a home for a set of ceramic tappets and associated rockers etc. if the 24v engine gets stripped.
Rodders.
......alternatively, anyone who might be tempted by prospective ownership of a much better 24v is welcome to have a chat .

I have been a bit absent on this site lately chaps and mainly due to moving house and other not insignificant life changes. Please rest assured I am alive and well and still very much into my XMs which remain as daily drives. I log in here once in a while and Ben aka Sageman very kindly flagged up the two local S1 V6 that we went to look at together earlier today. It was agreed Ben would post up further details and our cunning plan, but just to confirm both cars are early 24v and fairly complete and one is lhd. The rhd car is probably worth saving and we are after some keen/mad person to take it on, whereas the lhd has very sadly been trashed and will be broken. I know Ben needs quite a few bits and pieces off the scrapper and my main interest is in the 24v specifics such as the engine and exhaust system etc. Please do get in touch with either one of us via a post or PM if you are interested in either the complete car or spares. Best regards, Matthew T.
