Oh and both engines appear to be later modified lumps with steel rockers and the rhd car is missing an engine wiring loom and has slightly modified exhaust system. I will leave Ben to provide further details but here are a few general photos to kick of. With regard, Matthew T.

Matthew! Good to hear from you - the Norfolk manoeuvres continue...!
Look like a couple of useful finds.

I've got four of them in a similar situation at the top of the field. They belong to John, xmexclusive.

I understand Paul and would wish one over to you if I could. My recollection is that early engines have cast alloy rockers that remain grey and later ones steel turn gold with oil staining. With regards, Matthew T.

Slightly worried now...
I have read through this but can’t really determine which engines these cars have not having them infront of me although both are over 100k miles

Mathew if they are steel rockers they can't be later engines... And must be early engines... Which may not have a lot of life left..

An early engine.. silver rocker gear. Useualy dead by 100k or sooner.. loss of compression or serious Ratling if it actually runs...

A later modified engine with improved rocker gear. It's not oil staining but is a metal colour difference. .

Will last forever when fitted..
