Googling sun-roof cables does bring up replacement cabling, iirc.
Agree: dreadful things.

Have you found replacement cables for the sunroof fitted to Xm?
There are replacement cables for Rover and Mercedes models, however I haven't found any for Xm.

The additional ventilation is nice, but I always specced cars without a sunroof, if possible for afore mentioned reasons.

Yur climates are a lot dryer..so are more likely to work.. we are damp and wet 10 months of the year and dry for 2..

My car doesn't have air con so during the UK's annual warm day the tilt function would be nice The priority is to ensure no water gets in the other 364 days though

IIRC sunroof cable was available in generic sizes and dimensions.
