The door seal membrane can be just a single sheet of builder's polythene, gaffer taped in place, and pierced/cut where needed.

Haven't yet managed to find 95 291 417 "Door window guide".
NFP and not on Pieces de Rechange.
The same part is on all four windows, FF & RR, S1 and S2.

Did fall over this; some good photos...

Not sure if the dealer can still supply the guide clip, which might fit other models as well.
Obtain a clip, or drop glass from a car being broken.

The membrane should be waterproof but foam lined for sound deadening and to ensure it doesn't rustle against the door card.

The clip is XM I & II only (no other Citroen models).
There is a closed-cell (impermeable) thin cushioning plastic available, sometimes used for padding/wrapping, and about 1.5-2mm thick. Slightly stretchy and shiny stuff, and easily torn. Unsure what it's called. 500-grade polythene will not allow rustle, and the door card is already good at soundproofing.

Window fixed (for the time being) with a cut down plastic raw plug and some PU Adhesive....we shall see.

Decided to get/use some Bilt & Hamber KORROSOL for paint decontamination and some B&H WHEEL-WASH

Very very happy with the results

That looks great.

Nice fix on the window guide, which is after all only a nylon block.
If the rawlplug proves to be too soft try making a block from Hdpe...milk carton.

As the repair is on the drivers window, it might be worth swapping it with one that will rarely/never be used.

I attacked the dulled side chrome rubbing strip inserts today...........

I popped them off the car, cleaned with Brasso, sanded with 800 then 1500 (dry) using a small hand held DA sander.
Cleaned them, 2 coats of adhesion promoter then 3 coats of clear
