I bought this XM as a first car (yep) since it was very nice and really cheap, but ever since I've been doing nothing but acknowledging why everyone told me that it was going to be a tricky thing to operate, not because it is a bad car, but because it is old and "rare", especially here in Spain.
The latest of my quests so far is trying to find a spare lower speedo cable (the one that connects the transmission and the upper cable in the hood), for the left hand drive 2.0i 8v 1990 Grand Luxe XM. The original part reference is 961 665 54. I've been told by some distributors that there is no record of anywhere in my counrty selling these. However, there is this one online, https://www.buycarparts.co.uk/seim/9825619, but I don't know if it will work despite being really similar to mine (note that mine is 450 mm long, and that one is 470, but that shouldn't make any difference, right?). The rest of the tacho shafts appearing in that website don't seem to match, since the have male-male ends. Any advice would be really appreciated, because I need this limo working for my graduation in a week
