Wonderful. I think it's fantastic to see someone with that fondness for Citroëns there in the United States. Congratulations and good luck with it, those cars look splendid!

Doing the Cont test on both and I am sure I will figure it out how to wire it .

Trying not fry anything on it LOL

This XM scares me with how many wires got under the dash
Thanks for the PM

Replacement the originial 8 wire 3 plug ignition switch with a of the CITROEN XM Lock Sets 4162.E8 252418 6 wires 3 plug

I hope this will help someone in future

As said before on the forum requires a small alteration to make it work

The Valeo comes with 3 long wires my originial one had 2 long wires and small wire

Should look like this , I used the original end plugs

troubleshooting

You should have a plug with 2 wires coming out of the fuse box with 12v cont
One wire of the short plug goes to the started (check cont when Start key position) if you feed 12v on the blue car wire starter will kick in

I hope this help someone

Saratoga Spring NY USA, Citroen Event

Last Thursday afternoon I decided to leave on Friday around lunch time to my first road trip with the XM in USA . Cover over 1000 miles in 48 hours, car run really well

With temperatures around 40c I was able to temporaty fix the AC , without any parts available to me I decided to try the old trick , clean the ac system , used the oil for ac systems this time and it worked and then charge it to see what happens .
First time I actually clean a dryer and reuse it again  but at end I had a 60f cold ac blowing on setting #1 and #2 70c #3 setting blowing it worked fine for the trip, not the best but it dry it off the humidity as the inside temperature maybe was around +-78 f

Btw got a new dryer from Uk already and I notice the exp valve is also used on the old mercedes s600 , got a new one from mercedes dealer for a future project .
