That's a pretty good turnout of Citroens in a Country that hasn't had official supply since the early 1970's.
There can't be many GS in USA, let alone Estates.

That must be a special edition, any info.

Was this just an East Coast meet, in which case were most of these cars "local". Any idea how many hydraulic citroens in the USA?

Yours looks to have been the only XM, much interest?

That GS is the only one left out of 4 special edition cars produced for the 1972 Munich Olympics. Congrats on the XM, looks mint!

Upper New York state , this year that was a DS safari drove up from California :o
Its called Citroen Rendezvous at Saratoga must see event .

This event is on the North East that means you get some Canadians and Americans.

200 cars a lot of SM keep in mind US got a good number of them , 2cv, DS GS Cx a perfect citroen Hy pickup diesel

2cv are aways the most cars my XM was the only one but I have seen 3 others there in the past.

If you have Facebook they do a lot of post around this time of the year

I've done some research and the multi coloured gs estate is an official 1971 limited edition, "voiture sans frontieres", to represent the cars success across europe, it's not declared as an Olympics car and a quick look only shows European flags and no rings.

That must have been an expensive paintjob, only a few dozen made. Looks to be a painted up GS "Club"

Translation from the brouchure.

The citroen gs is the first car designed for the whole of europe.
For all that it brings from new, revolutionary, the citroen gs has been designated car of the year four times:
in Holland in Czechoslovakia in Great Britain in Denmark.
Today the citroen gs is on all european roads
car without borders she is at home is everywhere.

California to New York is some drive for a car show, sure beats going to your local supermarket car park...

There might have been a few more SM if Burt Reynolds hadn't stolen the keys...

Just last week someone was giving away a SM to be restore in California , I am sure still some to be found as barn finds in USA .

Btw on the way back I pass by Philadelphia and pick up another Citroen :D

A well know car within the Citroen family in USA not original but such a great car , drives so solid and for those who had a CX I mean the gear box its solid as a XM , never seen anything like it . I am so happy to pick up this car

I really belive it is not original one because the Portuguese flag was almost like made by hand and paint job was not that great! it would have come out better with a wrap

One never knows...
It is the correct year and model car. I can't read the model badge on the wing.

That Cx Gti looks magnificent, great colour and a Series 1 as well.
Has it been restored, or is it original condition?

If only the rest of the World hadn't thrown a strop and changed the side of road they drove on, we would have had much better opportunities for driving rust free classics.

A free Sm sounds like a tempting proposition...all were Lhd anyway.
