Shame I could not fin a green Y in my spares...

Seems like an ideal candidate for a spot of 3D printing...
Or a plastic block drilled through.
I have a couple on the shelf Mike

I suspect I might have a little potential cottage industry if I can fix them Paul...

These are the ones I have:

I assume the early non-RDS one...

I may also look to see about fitting Bluetooth modules in them if the owner requests...

Hoping to start on them in the next day or so... Currently snowed under with parkrun admin. and bike race marshalling commitments...

I'm busier now I'm retired than I've ever been...

Will, good idea to make a substitute Y by drilling a block of some fairly flexible LHM-proof material ;)

The Y connectors come in various colours, denoting the sizes of the holes, yellow and blue are easy to find, but black and green not so much. I have ordered a couple from Autodoc, so we will see what turns up.

You may have more than a Cottage industry if you can convert classic car stereos into modern connectable devices.

Keep the tuner and user controls, hack in bluetooth, Usb and external/new amplifiers.

I once hacked an Mp3 player into a Mercedes Audio 10 (becker 3100) cassette unit. Worked very well.

The biggest problem I see about putting in a full new innards is keeping the original display operational Will... Much easier on the old-school car radios with proper mechanical tuning and frequency display via a pointer travelling along a linear scale...

Having said that, working on the display aspect would make for an interesting project
