H692EAE, 3.0 SEI, RP4902 in white
Another XM which should be on road.
Auto box, 4HP18, failure but I have a NOS for it. Just need the time to fit it and see if that works. Few minor dings but definitely no rust. Might try re-sealing the governor first as I believe that can be done in situ.
Also a couple of others there, 2.1 auto estate which works apart from horns, could do with paint.
Also another 3.0 in silver with a failed 4HP18 :

Have you actually tried filling the new gearbox and seeing if it works with no other intervention?

Fixing the horns on that estate will be an easy win. Normally the horns themselves corrode internally and stop working, if so, remove them from the car, bash them on the ground to break the rust and connect back up and test.

Electrical diagrams for Series 1 Xm.

Diagram WD7 from the Haynes manual diagrams covers the horns. The wiring is very simple, the horns are connected to Gnd and the live feed is switched via the horn button.

The new word for paint is patina.

It's up to you, but if you add your car details to your forum signature, they are available whenever required.

Sounds like an interesting collection you have there. I've got a G reg 2.0Si with RP4930, so your H reg must have been sat for a while prior to being registered.

Not having any rust to contend with is a real bonus.

The build date was 11th April 1990 and registration was 1st August 1990.

Bearing in mind 1st August was the annual new registration, I suspect someone wanted it on the 1st, so waited to take delivery.

A rust free, Uk, Xm...that's a rare thing indeed.
Looks like RasCam won't have anything to do in those long, dark, Winter, months.
