I have recently purchased the Series 1 XM, RP 4777

It's going to be my project car and, it needs a little tlc. if anybody can help with parts that would be helpful :D

I'm looking for this list so that I can pull off an MOT success;

- Ignition lock and key set including glovebox lock and key - (I WANT TO LOCK MY CAR AHA)
- Dipstick
- Wheel brace
- Steering rack gators for front end - 406629 | 406630
- Left parking break cable
- CV boot - both sides 3293 91
- Headlights - Just in case
- Exhaust block
- height adjustment lever is seized - don't know what to do with that?
- Front brake flexi hoses E168015 | 96037346

Lovely to be part of the family,

I will upload photos soon.

Feel free to message

The height adjustment seizure.

Most likely siezed on the pivot under the car behind the exhaust heat shield where the two rods attach to it. As its exposed outside of the car but behind a cover it gets dry .. I had the same on our 2.1td..

Remember ANY venturing under the car USE ADEQUT SUPPORT Axle stands etc before going under any hydro car.

Flexi hoses are on ebay.
Cv boots also should be pleanty on ebay.
Steering rack boots are a bit hit and miss for being correct..

I can supply a wheel brace however, and being an early car it sits in the cradle under the bonnet attached to the drivers side strut top mount.. if you haven't the cradle I may be able to help with that too..

I'll check the seizure point. Safety First, ALWAYS.

A wheel brace would be lovely and I still have the cradle, I'm sure.

Have you got an early Ignition lock set as well?

Whereabouts are you based, I can collect or pay for delivery, I don't mind.

To be honest, I would like to keep the car as original as possible, but I will consider my options.

I've actually go to weld the jacking points quickly and then I can start working on it.

That's no worries, might need to take a holiday to wales one day, but for now delivery would be ideal. If you could check that out that would be helpful thank you.

For anyone that is missing keys, random locks would be useful as re-pinning the original locks is easy enough, as long as you have the correct pins, in any order in a lock.
Open the lock, match the pins to the key. From memory there are four, or five different pins and each lock has four pins in one direction and five in the other.

When you say random locks, what random ones would you be referring to?

Also I'm missing my radiator fan loom, the cable connection is missing and a switch might be needed with it. Single Fan setup is the one I need.

I might add to the list, by needing headlights and and spare seats in romana ?

Are you in the UK? I took a front end off a base uk 2.1td with manual fan control .. ie it had the thermo sensor in the radiator as it was a non ac or temperature controlled car.

Yes im based in the UK, Leicester, East Midlands. Sounds interesting, based on information that i have heard i think the 2.0si has a slightly different setup from all the other cars but i am more than willing to take a look at everything.

i'll upload a few images in the evening of my car.
