I know of a 1992 2.0si with single fan front panel, which is for breaking.

I'm not sure if the fan loom is still there but will have a look if needed. I've also got an inner rear screen with fixings if you're still looking for one.

Cheers,
Jon

Nice to meet ya Jon,

Whatever you can find will help my precious xm,

I’ll take it 🤝

Also Jon if the cars breaking, have you got an middle silencer for the exhaust and and is there the trims I could probably use for the dash, side trims and also the seats if they’re romana?

I don't think it has an exhaust, have you tried ebay? There were some listed for around £60 last time I looked.

Which trims do you need for the dash? I can probably help with those. The seats are Sonata unfortunately.

I could only find a couple of suppliers with middle silencers on Ebay. Other suppliers appear to have no stock, but it doesn't mean they can't obtain them.

Same supplier, no delivery.

Try ringing round your local parts suppliers, from memory, Parkers at Foundry square used to supply a lot of exhausts. 0116 242 8200

If you car has the original single piece exhaust it will need to be cut and have fittings added, or cut the flares off the new part and sleeve both sections.
If sleeving, it's best to weld the sleeve to one of the sections to make it a socket (downstream one works best as it captures the gas-flow), otherwise it will tend to sag at the joint.
A local welder, or exhaust centre should be able to weld on the correct joints for the new part to mate up to. It might even be worth approaching them for supply, but one would normally expect a mark up on price.

Evening Everyone, or morning/afternoon if you’re reading it at that time.

Anyways I’ve started once again on this journey. It got sort of delayed due to personal circumstances and the very cold weather. Well I’ve decided to get my hands dirty, today I learnt how to change the handbrake cable and the flexi hoses. A month ago I got the ignition switch changed from the bodged up ignition button.

2 months before that I luckily received the key from the previous owner. I was most pleased.

Anyways now if @Citjon is reading this, the 2.0si that was broken for parts, I wanted to inquire if there was any intention to give the car away as a whole, if so I would be very pleased to take it and collect it.

@Dieselman has given me some advice and visited me, and guided me in my quest to getting my XM back on the road.

I need a good few parts,

- regulator with pin for housing
- radiator temperature fan loom
- return LHM pipe set
- Alternator
- inside plastic trim
- middle silencer

Let me know what you can do. I’m trying to get the car ready for the events soon.

Well that’s it from me folks,

Until the next post : )

Hi there , do you still have the headlight available? Is it right or left?
