Hello lovely people, an XM fan from Uruguay here, just bought a greenish gray 92 XM. Carbureted, non-hydractive, manual mirrors and manual rear doors, it doesn't even have a rev counter. I absolutely love it

Welcome! That sounds like a rare beast. It would be great to see some photos.
Are there many XMs in Uruguay?

There are 2, one being mine and a V6 that's been "tuned" with some bodywork (absolutely horrible but what do I know). It's my first car ever, it was imported in 1992 and never left the small town it lived in, it's got 285,000 km
Pictures attached, needs some TLC but it'll be great one it's done

Also, the central console came from a higher spec model, I've got the original and a higher spec dashboard (with rev counter, oil and engine temp) ready to be swapped in

I wouldn't bother, it is very individual as it is. You would need to find an oil level sensor, which might pose a problem.
I really like the look of the roof, with no sunroof. I would be tempted to paint the upright glazing bars black, revert to steel wheels and wheeltrims.

Those are the original wheels but the previous owner painted them black for some reason, I want to find the hubcaps but that will be impossible I think :/

I think those rims would look great, cleaned up and perhaps powder coated in their original colour. Do you have anyone who will refurbish them?
Great looking car, anyway. Welcome!

There are quite a few shops that do rim treatment so that's definitely part of the plan, thank you so much!
