(Aspiring and former) Citroën owner

Post by The Swede » Sat Dec 28, 2024 9:18 am

Wanted to say hello.

Had 4 Citroëns in my life: a Citroën AX 10E 5d (still own that one but needs to be put back on the road), a BX 1400 (my first car), an XM 2.1td VSX and C5 2.0HDi Estate (last one was a company car. Cheap (346£ per month all in) but it did not live up to the experience of the XM which I sold when I got that one.

Now 20 years later, I am looking to get a new Citroën. Ideally an XM V6-24, but could also consider a normal V6 or even a Xantia (got a V6 Activa that was offered to me for a good price).

My absolute preference would be for a Prv6-24, but a later Es9j is a very smooth engine, as it a Prv6-12v. The Activa will have the Es9j engine.

You won't beat the comfort and overall experience of an Xm in any other Citroen, or most other cars. The Xm was classed as the comfiest car in the world, when new.
It also has driving dynamics and feel most other cars don't come close to.
