Hiya, I'm a new member too, also in NI, and well aware of the other owners here, being "related" to one of them lol hence I own one of these fab big beasts :)

I have to say, if I ever bear to part with mine R9UKE I will be sure to make sure that you're in the know first! lol

R9UKE wrote:Thanks Peter. I'd love a Phase 1 V6, but as you said, XMs are getting harder and harder to find, so I'll have to take what I can get!

Roughly six months ago, there was a white V6 SEi on eBay in England that went quite cheap, that would've been ideal.
I have a 1993 K XM SEi V6 Auto.. Being 1993 its got Cruise, wood, and 6 disk CD changer. Early V6's auto or manual did NOT have cruise. It was first fitted in 1993.

She needs work though.. Starts and Runs, engine is a bit tired at 200k, (Car showing only 145k) thought I DO have a lower milage engine and box, which I have driven to go in...

Eveything did work, I upgraded the Air Con to R134a instead of R12, so theres no problem there. Oh, and she has a Single Point LPG Kit fitted, which will stay on her too!!

In Dark green, the bonnet nose cone and wings need a re spray due to laquer peeling.. I welded the Sills up year before last too, so they should be ok for some time yet.

Paul

Hi guys,

Thanks for all the welcomes, Chris, that 2.0 16v that Robert let me drive last week has given me the XM bug :)

Lea, I see your XM all the time at QUB! You usually park it round by the library, I''ve had a good nosey at it, love the leather interior but it could do with a wash! Please do let me know if you're ever shifting it :D

Paul, a V6 SEi... probably my ideal model, although I'm not sure insurance would be so easy to get. Robert just sent me a few pics of it, looks a lovely car, do you run it on LPG?

Oh Yes I did, all the time... at the time LPG was 59ppl, which equated to around 40mpg!!

I have the much softer leather in her... as originally the later "Hard" leather was fitted which was nasty.. When you sit in this now, you sink into the seat...

MPG still equates to roughly the same Paul even thought it is more expensive now-still just over half the price of petrol...
