I was little busy last week with painting a tailgate plastic where reverse lights are fitted and back blinkers.I used Dupli-Color transparent black color.
Also...i removed a rear spoiler and took it to a friend for professional re-paint because lacquer was peeling from it.Here are the pictures:

After polishing the painted plastic with Farecla G3 and Turtle wax 2 in 1 Extreme(polish & wax)after G3...to make it nice & shiny it was ready for returning a "CITROEN XM" emblem back to it's place with a "BODY" professional double side adhesive tape:

The reason why i painted tailgate plastic is that it was really faded from the sun and it's age. Here is the picture of how it looked before(picture is from last year..few months after i bought it):

Almost forgot....here is a Dupli-Color spray which was used in the process:
Dupli-Color tuning.jpg
The little can is of 150ml and i didn't made a mistake when i bought 2 of them just in case.Paintwork needed at least 2 layers of it and i did 4 because the polishing with 2 pastes would remove 1 or 2 layers. It needed polishing because it was somehow matted, not much but it was disturbing my eyes and i wanted it to be nice and shiny.

I too intend to re-colour my light covers and have some tint paint, though neither of mine is anywhere near as faded as yours.

An XM with electric seats and windows, but material seats should be an "S" level trim, not "SE".
Do you have any interior pictures?

It's "Romana Velour".I have both fully electric seats,abs,power mirrors,power steering,power windows,automatic climate control,remote central locking(lock,unlock & trunk),hydractive 1,heated jet washers,fog lights,commands on steering wheel for stereo(multi-steering wheel),sun visor with light,alpha-numeric display...i think that i didn't forget something. :?

If it only needs a leather interior to be an SEI,then it should be an SI. :(

I need to find leather interior for it. 8-)

Very interesting Misha about you tinting your rear lights. I have been thinking of ways to do this too. Your results look very good. My latest idea is an actual tint film for lights...like window tints I suppose. I would be interested to see the light out put since your handy work. The police over here are a bit of a pain when it comes to customisation like that. Mind you they will be concentrating more on chavs cars than XM's!

Output is almost(if not)the same because the spray i used is transparent and it is made especially for that purpose.So...no problem about that. ;)

If you get close enough you can almost see through the paint. It is like 35% window tint. You can almost see in the car,but when you're in it everything is clearly visible.

Yes,there is a tint foil for headlights and tail lights on the market but you will need a professional dryer(usually a Bosch) which is used for window tinting. You need it to make a foil elastic enough to cover all of the marks on the plastic lights without bubbles(to make a shrink effect).Headlights have them on the inside,so no problem with them.

There are plenty instructions on YouTube of how to tint headlights, tail lights and windows with a tinted foil.
