From what he has said already, with a head rebuild, and new strut tops the most expensive things have been done! I just sold an XM with 205k on it but it had a head rebuild about 65k ago..

Milage on these ole 2.1 tds is nothing as long as the head gasket has been done which it has from what he says.

J reg SED will be leather and elecric seats. But on J im not sure if it will have the wood inserts. It could be on either Bosch or Lucas on this Reg, however its most likely Lucas which you will know as soon as you lift the bonnet, if it has a plastic inlet manifold its Lucas Mechanical...

So just now it sounds good. Same as my H reg SED 2.1 I have thats looking a bit sad just now.. :(

All sounds reasonable. I wonder if its the one with the TV screens in the headrests?

I just want a good value XM now. All things considered. Must be MOT'd and preferably Diesel. With Leather. Otherwise I might end up with a C5

I'd rather have a 2 grand Xm than a 2 grand C5.

I'd rather a £500 Xm over a £2k C5! ;)

Peter, who has been converted by XM rust rates a £300 diesel C5.
The residual tax was a bonus but he could have done with a bit more fuel for his money.
