I wouldn't change an XM from one version to another, just buy another XM of the correct type. There are plenty around in France. France to Turkey would be a nice road trip.

I have got the money but I don't have time to do that. Also our customs do not accept the cars older than 3 years old directly. :(

A dark grey s1 v6 with diravi would be a great car for me.

Looking at that pic, I love the way the grey in the alloys matches the grey of the body colour. Probably not intentional at all.....just a happy coincidence.
I wouldn't do it with any other colour, except black maybe, but I rather like them matching.

Hi russ,

It IS in fact intentional. I have also had a set of these Alloys with the grey in them..Not sure if they were a V6 SEi only wheel ID, and lower Si with optional alloys (which you could get) got the whole Alloy version..

The set I have now however, are all alloy.

Oh yes.. I know the Italia alloys were originally painted with darker grey inserts....seen them as just plain silver as well. And the black XM book has a Black XM with very very dark grey or black inserts too.

So am I barking up the wrong tree here in suggesting that SEi got the grey inserts and Si just got silver all over?

What I was trying to comment on is the grey of the car and the grey of the alloy inserts matching one another. I rather like that.

I would love a pair of those alloys. I absolutely love them. 8-)

I had a set off a car, but gave them to my landlord for his SED.. however, when I got the First K reg XM D which vince has now got there was a set of VERY TIDY ones in the back, which I have kept to go on my H reg SED when I get her sorted one day, to make her all original..

Ill look out for another set..

All Citroen alloys with grey inserts are FTU grey, which predates any XM grey by at least a decade.

Yes please Paul. This is one thing that I will change on my car from what it should have. I won't sell the wobbly webs, but if a set of Italias came up at a sensible price, what ever condition, as long as they aren't bent or cracked...I would be very interested in deed.

Your car should have Wobbly-Webs, not Italia's.

I know Will, but it is the one thing I would alter. I know it is wrong, but I like them too much!! I wouldn't get rid of the wobbly webs, just keep them as spare.
