My Xm and Xantia

Hi;

I own a Xm and a Xantia. Xm is for the long journeys and Xantia is for fun drives.

1996 XM Turbo CT VSX Auto 253.000 km
2000 Xantia Activa 2.0 Hdi 200.000 km

Exactly the same as mine then :) My XM is used at weekends and for long journeys whilst the Activa is for fun only in the summer.

I have my Xantia V6 for daily use such as going to work and back and in the summer the two Xantias share that duty depending on if I want a fun drive or a comfortable drive. Neither the XM nor the Activa are much used in the winter - only on fine days when there is no road salt around... The poor Xantia V6 does all the work in the winter.

I wish my XM and Activa were v6. :( HDi is very economical to drive but It is not enough for Activa.

Welcome Alper, some lovely Citroens you have there. Had no idea the XM was sold in Turkey.

Citroen importer of Turkey at the time(Ihlas) nearly went bankrupt in late 80's and they handover their import rights to another importer (Baylas) in 1995. Until the 2000's they weren't able to sell enough amount of cars because they weren't ready for doing this job. That is why XM's are so rare in Turkey. A big amount of the Xm's brought in trough Turkish customs by individuals.

Welcome aboard Alper. Your English is certainly better than 'our' Turkish.!! Your two cars look lovely and I imagine there are no problems with corrosion in your climate.

Thank you. :)

Humidity is very low where I live in and It doesn't rain much. The progress of corrosion is very slow compared to your cars.
