In theory if it has just passed the MOT they ought to be safe to use.
Plenty on here about strut heads, inspection for condition and refurbishment.
Post up some detailed photos and you might get an opinion.
Strut heads are handed and there are at least 3 different types so do not buy the first ones you come across.
Do not waste your time with Citroen for new strut heads, they were over £400 a side before the spares stock ran out.
At worst yours can be refurbished for less than half that.

Cool thanks for that ill post some pics of it 2mrw £800 is a lot 2 shell out if it's driveing fine I'll leave it just now need 2 get the front part of the exhaust welded first as there's a slight blow rest of its stainless steel😀so shouldn't have any problems there

NIce, and there's also rubber strut tops that are in the process of being remade in the Netherlands, otherwise you can get them re done in Lativa with Kinglass.
Good luck with that car, got some spares as well for that turbo CT.

The upper rubber covering is not a good indicator of the overall condition of the strut top. Raise the car up and look from underneath for corrosion and delamiation.
If the upper rubber has bubbled and cracked it is best to cut it off the metal and apply rust preventative to stop further corrosion.
