Hello all I'm Paul from Bridport, Dorset

Having been looking at xm's for a while I've finally put a deposit down on one.
Will be collecting before the end of the month.

Here she is. 2.1td vsx Looking forward to driving her.

I've liked the xm since launch and still have the launch video and brochure. I used to collect brochures when I was a kid and the local garage was Rowe's Citroen.

I've a bit of a citroen habit, I've owned over 20 Ax's my current one being a Gt5 that I'm building at the moment.

This Is the last one I finished that I have since sold, at the Retro rides show last year. Built with a saxo vts engine.

This is my current Ax Gt5 (I prefer the mk1 Gt to the Gti)
I'm building this as a fast rd/track car.
I've seam welding the engine bay as future plans include more power

I've also have a 1977 Cx Safari I'm restoring.
So far I've replaced the front disks and pads, had a full stainless exhaust including downpipe made, given the turbo to my friend at turbo technics to refurbish and fixed a hydraulic leak.
I've an intercooler to fit and a nice new radiator.
lots of welding on this next. I've had delivery of new sills from Germany to sort out the horrible patched mess It has at the moment.

Look forward to meeting you all.

Welcome, Paul. An impressive line-up of restoration and rebuilds! With the skills you obviously have, the XM will prove a great car for you, and huge fun to drive. I think somebody else from Dorset with a passion for 2.1's might be along soon...

Hi Paul

Welcome to the club. So there are two XMs in Dorset now  and not far apart. I have had several CX's as well. Enjoy your XM.

Peter

That white AX looks fantastic and I guess it went well with the Saxo engine in it.

I take it the Cx is a diesel. I'm a bit surprised you went for a diesel XM as you may find it a bit pedestrian in comparison to the rest of your cars, though I'm sure the engine will give a pretty easy 170 Bhp.
Is it manual or auto gearbox?

Hi Paul, welcome to the club. Cool selection of cars. I love the white AX, clearly finished to a very high standard.
I seem to recognise your CX Safari for some reason, didn't have a TV history did it? Sounds like your well into that resto.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy your XM when you get it, it looks a good one. I agree with Jaap, please change the wheel trims. I hate those for some reason!
