Hello everyone! Dzien dobry
My name is Tomasz and I live in Poland.
I am big fan of Citroen, especially those with hydropneumatic suspension.
Citroens in my family are used by me, by my brother and my father.
Once my father owned a Citroen BX 1.9D and that is how the all started.
Currently in own:
- Citroen XM 2.1TD Y3 liftback 1991
- Citroen XM 2.1TD Y4 Break 1998
- Citroen XM 2.1TD Y4 liftback 1998 with automatic gearbox
- Citroen Xantia X2 2.1TD Activa 1998
and also
- Citroen 2CV6 Club from 1985
Almost the entire servicing we deal with on their own. I signed up here, because I think I'd find here a lot of useful tips and maybe I'll have a opportunity to share my knowledge and experience someday.
Greetings from Poland
Tomasz

A warm welcome Tomasz and you certainly qualify to join the Forum with three XM! There is some good expertise on diesel models here and no doubt you also have valuable knowledge to share if you maintain your owns cars. With regards, Matthew T.

Hi Tomasz
Whereabouts in Poland are you based?
I see that you definitely like 2.1TD's! These Citroens must be a rare sight in Poland.

Hi, I live in Milicz, nearly 60km from Wroclaw, Lower Silesia.
You're right, Citroen XM is very rarely seen on road, almost as rarely as 2CV. At the moment I do not know anything about any other XM in my city. Some time ago there was one 2.5TD Y4, but from what I know, it has been sold after timing belt fault.
Much more popular is the Xantia and is very easy to see one on the road. I personally know the owners of four Xantias who lives near me but only one owner of XM Y3 Break 2.1TD in one of near city. Also, there are at least two Xantias in my city, whose owners I do not know.
We even have a few clubs and forums for owners of Citroens in Poland.
Returning to the 2CV, next year in Poland will be held 21st International Meeting of 2CV Friends:

I added pictures of my 2CV (which was 4 years ago renovated), also silver XM Break which is in excellent condition and the green Y3, which suffers because of his age, but most likely in the spring goes engine overhaul and some other treatments.
Next one is my brother's Xantia. This was a much neglected by numerous previous owners. We've fixed a lot of the things and keep it in good mechanical condition. I think it is worth it, Activa is a very rare model.
Still do not have any photos of the third XM because it was recently purchased, but it is in good condition and requires only a basic review and some minor repairs. No later than the spring will be fully operational. I do not hurry because most of the work I have done on the outside. Garage is occupied by 2CV while two-column lift is outside. Now it is too cold and windy to work
I hope that "my" English is understandable. I did not have far too many opportunities to use it

Hello Tomaz
Welcome to the forum. So that's where all the 2.1 diesels have gone.

I am hoping to get to the 2CV World Meeting (haven't been to one since Sweden in 2007) but funding is currently an issue, as is the state of my poor 2CV! Very rusty.

hello and welcome, are you going to the 2CV World meeting this year in Poland?
I will be driving there from France in a small convoy of 2CV's, I have a AK350 van and a few other 2CV's to restore as well as the XM, DS, Berlingo and Picasso.
