New member - new car!

Post by ash2020 » Tue Oct 20, 2009 9:20 am

Hello all. My name's Andrew and I've just taken on a manual VSX diesel estate. I always wanted an XM, having had lots of Xantias, unfortunately I've ended up with a white one, which I didn't really want (always saw myself in a dark blue with full leather interior etc.) And yes, I want some of those headlight washer covers too!
Nice to be here.

Hi Andrew

Welcome.
Is your VSX a 2.1 or a 2.5TD?
It might help to have an idea of where abouts you are located.
We watch the spares market and we try to ensure that bits are not missed.

Hi John, thanks. Its a 2.5TD. I'm in a little place called Mere, just off the A303 in Wiltshire, quite near Salisbury.

Hi Andrew

Know it well. Usually seems to have a green XM parked near the centre outside a pub.
I am a few miles south of the A303 in Winchester.
You might well notice from the postings that I have an interest in 2.5TD's.

Marvellous memory John, It's still there, we walk past it every day.

Hi John, no I think he's got rid of it. He has a few 2CVs and various other stuff so I thought he might be just the guy to help me with my key issues. Didn't want to know, very unhelpful.

I have a local painter and decorator friend who has a very tatty BX that just keeps going on and on and on. I think all the paint pots etc. in the back have just sort of set in place, you'd never shift them now.
Cheers
