Has it got a blue connector (ATE system) or a green connector (Bendix system)?

On L series one that will be a bendix fat body sensor.. Ie the later type with a slightly different ohm rating.

The switch from benxix to tevis didnt happen untill around early 1996 N reg cars. So early s2 M plat and some N plates have bendix fitted to them.

There is a NOS XM Bendix front sensor currently on ebay at £170.
As has been stated above the only normal source of these sensors is secondhand recovered ones.
The fronts usually recover fairly easily.
I will have a few in one of the boxes of bits but doubt I can find one in a reasonable time.
Others on here will normally be able to supply.
It is possible to fit a Teves sensor by modifying the polarisation on the blue plug.
These Teves ones are still available current best price is mister-auto-uk at £39.91 post free.
There are postings on here about using and modifying.

Rear sensors concern me.. As they never do come out.. Ive got a rear subframe complete with rear arms and abs sensors.. I cant get the arms off because of disintegrated rear R clips.. Im yet to tackle but idealy want to save struts and arms... But cant so a bit snookered..

Hi Paul

A while ago I made up a little bolt and sleeve to push out the rear sensors.
Sleeve had a flat round end sensor size.
Took the wheel bearing out, used a bit of steel angle fixed to two wheel bearing holes to stop the bolt escaping.
Wind away and push the sensor out.
Also found a way to punch out broken R clips.
Think that might have needed a very ong punch and a small hole drilled in the subframe plate.

You got any recovered secondhand front sensors to offer Keith 10?

Sadly not john..
Ive got all the earlyer sensors with thin bodys... And not many of them spare either..

I need to look at a number of front hubs here and see if theres a fat body sensor in one.. As none of my cars for the road use fat body sensors..
